Situated in Byth, Worksop. Hodsock Priory is a gorgeously wealthy building with perfect views across the land around it. Full of charm, this place is a party mansion while still being sophisticated and ornate. But despite its name, it is not and never has been a priory

Upon entering Hodsock Priory, you instantly feel a touch classier as you did before you stepped through the giant arch leading you into the courtyard. Inside is like a person sized dollhouse with each room having it’s own character and distinctive from the last. Follow the corridors and you’ll be lead from room to room and as you go you’ll be smelling the perfume, the books and the dinner.

And may I say, it’s the ideal venue for a luxury vintage photo booth like ours. The Britannia’s wooden legs against the Library’s wooden bookshelves and her worn in aluminium exterior, she doesn’t stand out but she certainly doesn’t blend in either.

Josh & Vikki opted for our white backdrop with the black and white filter switched on. I overheard one of the guests saying how great a ‘filter booth’ was and I can’t help but agree. Combined with our white backdrop, the black and white filter makes every shot look glam and flattering no matter the hour of night. The prints produced a real vintage charm to them and made a perfect keepsake from the evening. I still think we don’t print our memories out enough and it’s services like ours which keep bedroom mirrors and kitchen fridges looking lively. Our QR code function was also going down a treat and everyone was getting their photos straight to their phones as well.

The party’s vibe was electric and gave a steady increase as the night went on. I saw guests creep in curiously to begin with but by the last hour and a half I was consistently busy. Even so, Vikki purchased a last minute half an hours worth of photo booth time which was definitely made the most of by guests. Even while I was packing down I still had people coming over and asking for photos!
